 In case of a power outage residents dependent on oxygen or other life support should follow these recommendations:

Assess oxygen supply pre-storm and contact supplier to deliver additional oxygen

Contact CL & P to advise that they are on oxygen 1-800-791-3369

Notify a neighbor to check in if power is out especially if without a phone

Call 911 and advise that they need oxygen

Prepare a travel bag if necessary including list of phone numbers of family members and list of medications

Our Mission

Since 1977 our community's mature citizen, 50 years and older, can find a multipurpose facility at the Bethel Senior Center. It is our mission to provide opportunities for friendship, physical, intellectual, cultural,and social activities; to motivate individual and group participation; to encourage positive attitudes and preserve individual dignity and respect for all older adults.

Please join us for our Valentine's Party, Friday 2/13/15 , 12 Noon at the BSC. Lunch includes chicken marsala, rice pilaf, green beans with almonds, salad and cheesecake. Live entertainment by the lively Solid Goldx2. All for $10.  Stop in the office to sign up.

The Bethel Senior Center offers many different activities and classes:

Exercise: Basketball, Bike Club, Chair Yoga, Circuit Training, Line Dancing, Seniorcise, Square Dancing, TaiChi, Tap Dancing, Walking Club, Yoga, Zumba 

Creative Classes: Art, Crafts, Crocheting, Ceramics, Creative Writing, Knitting, Scrapbooking, Painting, Quilting, Writing Memoirs 

Special Interest: Bible Study, Book Club, Chorus, Computer Class, Drama, Free Movie Mondays, Gardening, Genealogy, Italian Class, Information Technology, Lectures, Live Well Program, Lunch and Learn Programs, Poetry, Positive You, Theater.

Games: Billiards, Bingo, Board Games, Bridge, Canasta, Cribbage, Mah Jong, Poker, Pinochle, Puzzle Making, Rummy.

Parties & Travel: Holiday Parties (Superbowl, Chinese New Year, MardiGras, Victorian Tea, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Summer Barbecue, Grandparents Day, Halloween, Veteran's Day Breakfast, Holiday Shoppe, Holiday Party; Day and Extended Trips.

Services: Elderly Information Service and Assistance, Blood Pressure Clinic, A.A.R.P. Tax Aide, A.A.R.P.
