Taxpayers can pay real estate, personal property and motor vehicle taxes on-line in one or more installments. Credit card and debit card payments also can be made at our convenient customer terminal located in the Tax Collectors office. There is a service fee 2.95%, with a minimum of $1.95 for credit card and debit card transactions.. There is a $0.95 flat fee for direct withdrawal from your checking account via ECheck.

NOTICE TO BETHEL TAXPAYERS
The fourth and last quarter of the property tax on Real Estate for the Grand List of 2016 is due April 1, 2018. If not paid by May 1, 2018, interest will be charged at 1 ½% per month from the due date of April 1, 2018, or a $2.00 minimum whichever is greater. Mailed payments must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2018.
All Real Estate accounts with an unpaid balance will be liened on May 25, 2018 at 8:30am in accordance with State Statute 12-172. To avoid a lien, payment must be IN THE OFFICE BY 3:00pm, MAY 24, 2018. Postmark WILL NOT be honored. .
Taxpayers can pay by check or credit card online at www.bethel-ct.gov by 3:00pm on May 24, 2018. Follow the online instructions.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE TAX OFFICE
The Tax Collector’s Office located at The Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School Street is open Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Failure to receive a bill DOES NOT relieve a taxpayer of the obligation to pay taxes or delinquent charges.
