Food Service to the Public
The Bethel Health Department works with many residents and community members who serve food to the public. Two types of Food Service activities are:
- Food Service Establishments
- Temporary/Seasonal Food Events (such as mobile vendors, food booths etc.) - See second and third item in list.
- CT Cottage Food Industry Business Instructions - Bethel Health Dept. does not regulate Local Cottage Food Industry businesses for food protection purposes. The State of CT, Department of consumer Protection (DCP) regulates Cottage Food Industry Business.

The following information has been organized to guide you through the process of obtaining a license to operate a food service establishment in the town of Bethel. This information applies to all food stores and food service establishments that are newly constructed, renovated or undergoes a change in ownership.
