Credit card and debit card payments also can be made at our convenient customer terminal located in the Tax Collectors office. There is a service fee 2.95%, with a minimum of $1.95 for credit card and debit card transactions.. There is a $0.95 flat fee for direct withdrawal from your checking account via ECheck.

NOTICE TO BETHEL TAXPAYERS
The First Real Estate payment on the 2017 Grand List is due and payable on July 1, 2018. The last day to pay without penalty is Wednesday, August 1, 2018. The penalty for paying after August 1, 2018 will be charged at 1 ½% per month from the due date or a $2.00 minimum charge, whichever is greater plus any additional collection costs. Mailed payments must be postmarked no later than August 1, 2018.
The Personal Property and Motor Vehicle tax is due in full on July 1, 2018, and if not paid by August 1, 2018 interest will be charged at 1 ½% per month from the due date or a $2.00 minimum, whichever is greater plus any additional collection costs. Delinquent Motor Vehicle taxes must be paid in cash, official bank check, credit card online only or money order, if registering a vehicle.
IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A TAX BILL FROM A TOWN THAT YOU DID NOT RESIDE IN OR GARAGE YOUR VEHICLE IN AS OF OCTOBER 1, 2017, Contact the Tax Assessor from where you received the bill to request a transfer to the correct Town/City of residency as of October 1, 2017.
Taxpayers can pay by check or credit card online at www.bethel-ct.gov . Follow the online instructions.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE TAX OFFICE

Failure to receive a bill DOES NOT relieve a taxpayer of the obligation to pay taxes or any delinquent charges.
