Registrar of Voters

The Presidential Election will be held on Tuesday November 3, 2020. 

All Voter Registration must be completed by Tuesday October 27, 2020 in order to vote in the Presidential Election to be held on Tuesday November 3, 2020.

The Registrar of Voters Office will be open for in-person Voter Registration on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. The office is located in the Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School Street, Bethel, CT 06801.

Voter Registration applications can be obtained from the Registrar of Voters during regular Municipal Center hours on Monday through Friday. There are voter registration applications available in the front entry of the Municipal Center. You can leave your completed voter registration application in the Drop Box in front of the Municipal Center.

Anyone who wants to register to vote can do so in-person by Tuesday, October 27, 2020 by 8:00 pm, or by mail if postmarked on or before October 27, 2020. Those citizens with Connecticut DMV driver’s licenses, learner’s permit or DMV ID may complete an Online Voter Registration Application on or before October 27, 2020. Use this link for Online Voter Registration. www.govote.ct.gov. This link can also be used to check on your voter registration status, check to see where you vote and to track your absentee ballot.

Anyone who has used Online Voter Registration and used the last 4 digits of your Social Security number to verify your identity must print, sign and mail or deliver the application to the Registrars.

All Bethel Polling Locations will be open for in person voting on Election Day from 6am to 8pm .
Districts 1 and 4 vote at the Municipal Center Gym. District 2 votes at the Stony Hill Fire Station. Districts 3 and 5 vote at Berry School in the Gym.

The Town Clerk administers absentee ballots and any questions about absentee ballots can be directed to their office.
