Registrar of Voters

You can check on your voter registration status here: This is the Secretary of the State’s voter look up tool. It does NOT recognize punctuation in a name. This includes a hyphen or apostrophe.  O’Connor would have to be input as OConnor for the voter look up tool to work.

STATE PRIMARY - August 14, 2018

The Primary to be held on August 14, 2018 is both a Republican Primary and a Democratic Primary. All regular polling places will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

A Primary is the opportunity for members of a political party to decide who they want to be their Party’s candidate in the November election. Only members of the Party may vote in that Party’s Primary. Candidates who appear on the Primary Ballot have either been endorsed by their Party’s Convention or they have collected enough signatures from party members to petition their way onto the ballot. There are no Write-In candidates for a Primary.

The deadline has passed for voter registration by mail or online. Noon on Monday August 13, 2018 is the deadline for in-person registration of new voters, as well as for current Unaffiliated voters to affiliate with a party. Go to the Registrar of Voters Office or the Town Clerk’s Office in the Municipal Center at 1 School Street to register to vote and affiliate with a Party.

The winners of the Primary will appear on the ballot for November 6, 2018 when all registered voters, including Unaffiliated voters, may vote for any candidate on the ballot.

The links on this page will show you sample ballots.

The Senior Center van is available for rides to the Polls. Call the Senior Center at 203-792-3048 or 203-794-8593 to schedule a ride.
