3/14/2020 - *** IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ROUTINE SERVICES***

If you are in need of routine police services (such as filing a police report, or requesting police help for a non-emergency matter), we ask that you contact us first by phone utilizing our non-emergency line, 203-744-7900, as opposed to coming to our Police Department. We are currently practicing social distancing in an attempt to protect both the public and our employees from any potential exposure to illness. As always, if you have an emergency please call 911.

Please do not come into the Police Department lobby unless it is an emergency or you have spoken with an Officer over the phone and were directed to do so. As always, please dial 911 in an emergency.

In addition, in an effort to limit close quarter contact between our staff and residents during the COVID-19 threat, the Bethel Police Department is temporarily suspending all civilian (non-criminal) fingerprinting as well as our Child Safety Seat Installation service. Regular services will resume as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. And thank you in advance for helping keep yourself, the Department, and the general public healthier and safer.
